Note how low the minimum target is: 1080p on Low with upscaling to hold 60 fps. If your PC sits near the minimum, expect to run upscaling and low settings. RAM is the one part that does not scale down: both specs ask for 16 GB.
Settings that help
The Season 1 patch made DLSS Frame Generation something you can turn off without restarting the game, and cut down the hitching when you take control of a character. If you get stutter, try turning frame generation off first. It adds smoothness on paper, but also input lag, which matters more in a shooter than a higher fps counter. Upscaling (DLSS or FSR) is the bigger win on older cards, and the recommended spec assumes it for 4K.
Price, and why it goes up
Wardogs costs $39.99 on Steam, where it is in early access. Bulkhead's CEO, Joe Brammer, has said the price will go up as the game grows: to $49.99 at version 0.5, and to $59.99 after about 24 months. The optional Supporter Edition only adds cosmetics: weapon camos, a helicopter camo, bobbleheads and a scoreboard icon.
Bulkhead has promised no monetisation during early access beyond that edition, and says cash and gold bars will never be sold for real money. Gold bars are bought with the cash you earn in matches. See today's gold bar price.
Steam Deck, Linux, Mac and consoles
Wardogs is Windows only. The kernel-level Elytra anti-cheat does not work under Proton, so it will not run on the Steam Deck or Linux for now, even though it did during the beta. Bulkhead says it is working on Proton support, with no date yet. There is no Mac version, but the game is available on GeForce NOW, which runs on a Mac. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are planned for 2028.

- Not at the moment. The Elytra anti-cheat blocks Proton, which is what the Steam Deck and Linux use to run Windows games. Bulkhead is working on it but has not given a date.

- There is no Mac version. On a Mac you can play it through GeForce NOW, which Team17 lists as supported.
- Is Wardogs coming to PS5 or Xbox?
- Yes, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are planned for 2028. Until then it is PC only.
- How much RAM does Wardogs need?
